Charles received a bachelor’s degree in history from St. John’s University, Collegeville MN, in 1968. He was awarded the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College in 1984 and added the Chartered Financial Consultant degree in 1990. He has been advising business owners and high net worth families since 1980. Throughout his career he has committed himself to thinking creatively to find ways to help private enterprise prosper. He has 40 years of experience helping business owners capture the full value of their business if they suffer a permanent disability or die prematurely, and at retirement.
As co-founder of the Longmont Community Foundation he works to create partnerships between non-profits and communities to help achieve their social mission.
He has been active in his church and community serving on the Board of the Longmont Chamber, the Longmont Long Range Planning Commission, the St John the Baptist Parish Council and School Board, and the board of Life Choices, a northern Colorado consortium of Crisis Pregnancy Centers. He is currently serving on the volunteer staff of Contemplative Outreach of Colorado. His latest enterprise, PROJECT ATONEMENT, is in the formation stage and aims to raise money from Christian parishes and the public at large to pay for counseling of clergy sexual abuse victims
He and his wife, Phyllis have three children and live in Denver, Colorado.
